Horseback Riding Lessons

For Teens

Your horse-crazy teen will feel at home with us! At a time in their lives when many things are changing, horses can help teens develop stronger self-esteem, confidence,  work-ethic, and responsibility.

Why Three Strides?

A place to begin

3 out of 4

of our students have never ridden a horse before coming to Three Strides.
We love making introductions to horses.

A place to grow

of our students who come for a single lesson enroll in weekly lessons. We will work with your teen to achieve their goals, whether they want to focus on learning to ride or mastering a specific skill, such as jumping or horse care.

A place to love

Our horses love their job, and in return, the students tend to love them. Riding is the skill, and stronger, more confident students are the benefit. We strive to make the barn a place  they can't wait to return to each week.

Teen Apprenticeship Program

Pre-Teens and Teens at Three Strides have the unique opportunity to earn some time in the saddle in exchange for helping out around the farm.

Most days, students will help with feeding and caring for the horses, as well as helping assist Kara during lessons.

"Since she started riding with Kara and participating in the Teen Apprenticeship Program, I've noticed a positive change in my daughter, both at the barn and at home. She's more responsible and respectful.
Every chance she gets, she wants to go back to the barn.”

-Christine, pre-teen parent student since 2018
